Complete crazy scenes in Australia as Melbourne City faced off against Victoria. As seen above the keeper from City, Glover, was attacked with some sort of metal bin after fans invaded the pitch after just 21 minutes played. He's being treated for laceration and a possible concussion after the match was abandon by the referee. Check out the video below.
As we confirm more details, it appears that the prequel to this was due to multiple flares being thrown on the pitch from behind the City goal. The keeper Glover walked over and toss them back and that's went things went sideways. See the video below for the side angle not provided above. Additionally, it appears the metal bin was thrown from a few feet before crashing into the side of Glover's face and subsuquentilly falling atop of the match official. Very Chalky stuff & wild scenes as this country prepares to host the Women's World Cup in just 215 days.
